Getting Ready...

When I was at the store yesterday, I saw a pack of four little receiving blankets and I really liked how they looked together, so I bought them and cut them up to make one rag quilt out of them(for the new baby). I am really happy with how it turned out, but even more happy that I finished it (I tend to buy stuff for projects and never finish them, especially when I am pregnant).

That is so cute! It totally reminds me of when you taught me how to make rag pillows :) I can't wait to see pictures. I'll keep my fingers crossed that this little girl will be more anxious to come and put you out of your prego misery!

So Cute!!! I would not be motivated to do a quilt right now-- so good for you!!!! I LOVE the picture of you in the water . . it made me laugh. I totally feel that same way about the heat-- just jump in with clothes on. Looks like you guys are having a fun summer.

You are sooo talented Annie! The quilt is beautiful! What lucky little children you have, to have such a loving and talented mommy! I love those prints together. You have always been so determined. I remember when you were just 5 and wanted to sew something for your new baby sister "Jessica" . You were always one to be determined to learn things. You were quite an accomplished seamstress at about 8 years old!!! And of course you learned how to tie your shoes, and peddle a trike at 2! And when you decided to become an artist in high school...Wow! Here we thought you hadnt really developed that talent because of your running and soccer, and the time you took for that. But there you were a fantastic artist too!!!!
We love you!!!

I am so impressed by the blanket and that you did it so quickly!!! I would still be looking at the package! Hope that things go well in the next few weeks for you and that they go by fast! Oh and those pics of Ellie are so cute she is really animated and I love it!!

I should give my mom that hint.. she claims she is unable to coordinate fabrics together without my expertise present :) Love the colors and patterns..
