Lots of Easter Fun...

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter...We sure did. I just love Easter. One of my favorite parts of Easter, while growing up, was to get a pretty new dress and some new (usually white) shoes. Now one of my favorite parts of Easter is to search for the perfect dresses for my girls (and shirt and tie for Malachi). I usually start my search a month or two ahead of time, because I always search for the best bargain as well.

My kids were really looking forward to Easter as well. They love the egg hunt part. And this year they loved it so much that they wanted Roger and I to be able to join in the fun as well, so after their egg hunt was over they hid the eggs for Roger and I, which I have to admit was pretty fun except for when I would try to make any kind of quick move to beat Roger to an egg and then it would put me in a Braxton Hick's contraction. Our kids had so much fun hiding the eggs, so they set up a hunt for Roger and I three different times.

I took a ton of pictures and I really had a hard time narrowing them down, so I hope your in the mood to look at a lot of pictures.

This picture and the one below are of some of our night before Easter preparations. Who doesn't love dying the eggs, even if it only lasts 15 minutes? I also had to get a picture of my girls in their curlers, getting ready to go to bed (much too late I might add). I thought they looked so cute and it was also the first time that I've put curlers in their hair, so I had to get a picture, right?

"What was dad thinking when he put the eggs way up there in the squirrel feeder?"

And last of all, a picture of me slaving away on our Easter dinner...Don't I look exhausted? Roger had to point out that I have a little flour on my face (on my left cheek). He says that I can't work with flour without getting it somewhere on my face (I think he is right).

Our curlers always fell out when we were sleeping in them so my mom would put underwear on our heads to keep them on...that is my sponge roller memory! Sadly, I did the same thing to my daughter. But it works!

Your kids look so cute. I can't wait to see the new one! Oh, and love the flour on your face, reminds me of that old Rice Krispie Treat commercial. Remember that?

Annie,
It looks like you had so much fun!!! (and work!) Your pictures are adorable! The kids look Priceless! We really missed you guys at our house! I miss those days when you were all young....( well I guess you were never all young at the same time were you? Considering your little brothers are still young) Do you remember getting in line for your turn to get your hair done? Five little girls with fancy hair! Remember those crazy poems that I made up for the hunt? ( In the wee hours of the morning ...so they were really silly!)

Hey- just wondering how you have been feeling lately. We are on the home stretch and I am getting into that "get out of me" stage where I just want to be done and feel normal again! You will have to post ASAP when you have her! I think I am getting induced around the 15th-- but we will see how things progress. We miss you guys and Roger's great lessons! (good luck with the new YW's I heard you are staying. Do you know why they decided to reorganize??)
